Ken Stoner

History: | Part I | Part II |

Forced to retire early at 52, due to onset of Motor Neurone Disease diagnosed in 1986, from my interesting Chief Engineer's position in an Engineering company running the Design & Development Department. So, I needed something to occupy my mind with all the spare time I would now have during the day, as watching TV all day was not for me!

Stuck in a wheelchair permanently, unable to speak except through my Laptop Synthesiser, not much of a very active nature would now suit my disabilities. But I knew there was much I could offer the disabled community, having been well trained as an Engineer, so first of all became a REMAP Engineer. Helping other disabled people by designing them special equipment, until my illness made getting around to the clients far too difficult !!! Then, as I had needed help from my son who is in the computer industry, to set-up my own computer equipment  realised, that many people wouldn't receive the help so desperately needed.
