Find a Volunteer
One of our local contacts, i.e. County
Co-ordinator, will discuss with you how best to help you and will arrange
for a skilled volunteer to get in touch with you. Clearly, volunteers
will not have experience of all makes of computer, or software packages.
This is where the County Co-ordinator can help by selecting a volunteer
who has the nearest background to the problem you are experiencing. But
please don't expect miracles on hardware, or software packages that have
long gone out of regular use. It might be a case of the volunteer needing
to learn some new software before he or she can start to solve the problem
posed. This service is for disabled people and is totally free of charge,
apart from the price of a cup of tea, maybe, to keep your volunteer going!
Please note: We cannot provide funds for the purchase of computers, software or peripheral equipment, such as printers or scanners. Neither are we able to conduct assessments for specialist access devices. But we can put you in touch with other organisations that may be able to assist.
